I love 6 month sessions - they are so fun and EASY! The babies aren't moving and running yet, and they are so expressive! I looooove this age and I always ALWAYS suggest doing a 6 month session! ALWAYS! You might remember Sam from his newborn session... LOOK at him now!! he is sooo cute with his little mo-hawk. Love this little guy!

I have been so lucky to photograph this family since big brother was 6 weeks old. I am so excited for them to start this journey as a new family of four...Blake is so so sweet to his baby sister - he just wanted to hug and kiss her and love on her.... well most of the time :)

Isn't she the cutest thing ever!!? I had so much fun with this family the day after The Fourth of July - little Taylor was so happy and made us laugh the entire shoot - her parents are so loving and willing to do anything so that made for a super easy shoot. I don't know if you can tell but she shares this one look with her dad where they crease their eyebrows - it's hilarious!

-It is so important to document 6months it is usually the easiest age - they are sitting up, happy most of the time, and not crawling or running :) This is why I have started the short sessions - to inspire you to capture those milestones more often and not just once a year!!! I always look back at Ian's first year and I am so happy I captured his funny faces, or his big toothless smile, his first time to crawl... you will never regret it!! This little girl is having her birthday party today - you might remember her from here
she has grown so much and is so so smart and expressive. It was so so hot this day and she just kept giving me this look - like "you want me to smile, yeah right lady its hot!"
I am so happy to be able to watch Reagan grow and hope to continue to capture her moments!

I fell in love with this little beauty - it took her a while to fall asleep but once she did she was O.U.T! Mom and dad are naturals and love that little girl with all they have ... Dad is a firefighter so you know we had to do some in his bunker gear.

Meet Connor at 8 days old... isn't he yummy? He was on the smaller side compared to the babies I have seen the last few months so I was excited to be able to "stuff" him into smaller spaces :)
when I walked in they had tons of music equipment out and ready, dad's golf bag and tennis rackets and a handful of hats to put on him. I am so in love with this session - I want to hang the family one on MY wall hellllllo 30x40 :)

These guys were AMAZING to shoot! We started out down by Moss lake and then made our way to the square in Gainesville - The light was beautiful - and they were up for anything!!! Here are some shots from my Valentine's minis! They were a success so I think I will add them to my list of mini's every year. It was below 30 degrees, and we even saw some snow flurries, so we worked quickly! Everyone did so great despite the cold which made me happy!

It took me a while to thaw out that first day! hahaha and you can tell how much Reagan and Rhyan loved it...

he was not sure of my big black box, or the light in his face or being stuffed into his daddy's fire fighting gear. He also makes the best faces, right before he goes into the deep sleep, you know when some babies start to smile, he makes a kissy face instead. hahah it was precious!
Mom and Dad were not able to be a part of this shoot, mom had to go back to the hospital so be sure to keep her in your thoughts and hopefully I will be able to get some family shots on here for you to see soon!

I was so excited when I got an email from Gage's mom to do a New Year's session as well as to celebrate their 6 year wedding anniversary. When they were walking up Gage had the best walk ever for a 2 year old... he looked like such a cool hip ladies man! haha
Thanks for braving the super cold weather that was here right before the Arctic Freeze!!
Dad is a Football coach so naturally we had to do some shots of Gage in his football stance... personally I think he started to do some lunges but who knows :P

I loooove newborns... especially the chunky ones! Cashlyn weighed in at about 9.2 lbs if I remember correctly! She was so sweet and calm... even when her eyes were open she would just look around and take everything in. I walked in and her mom had one of their seating areas covered in hair accesories and clothing and pettiskirts! I was in HEAVEN

I love love looove this family!!! These guys are always up for anything, and we always have fun during our sessions. Mom usually just lets me take off with the kiddos and let's me do my thing, which is soooo nice! Plus it is not everyday that all four kids are a dream to photograph!
This year we wanted to try some funky western shots at the Stockyards... I think the images came out great!

Newborn Photographer - it's raining babies...

Yes I am still here!!! Sorry for the lack of blog posts... I think once you get so far behind you just kind of give up! I am going to try to keep up with this more though!
I have had some really great newborns this spring/summer. Here are a couple of images from each session in no particular order. I am so excited to watch these babies grow! I believe they were all around 4 to 6 days old for their sessions! Each and everyone of them gave me some major baby fever.. so thank you very much to all of my new mommies and daddies! :) Oh and my husband thanks you too...

First up is mister Jake! He was so alert but man, once he was out... HE WAS OUT. He let us stuff him in this tiny bowl without a sound of protest!

Then we have the precious Reagan... she was asleep the whole time, seriously shortest newborn session ever! I fell in love with her parents as soon as I met them... Can you say nicest family eeevvver?

And here is big girl Evie! She was over 9lbs and really made us work for her amazing images... but once she was asleep it was smooth sailing! Her parents were so patient and didn't mind spending their entire day with me :) I love love love this girls mommy... she is crafting me up some AH-MAZ-ING crochet/knit hats.

And last but not least is Johnathan... I have never ever, that I can remember, seen a blonde newborn. I have seen red, and bald and brown... but never blonde! This little boy was so sweet and slept the whole time for me... He didn't wake up once... and how can you not love a little boy that smiles in his sleep!

This was for Ayla's first birthday... just a month or two early. She is just so sweet... this is her as a newborn... I can't believe how big she is now... and soooo happy. Next up is this great couple! We went out to the Canals for this shoot, and I think the photos are beautiful! These guys were so casual and seemed to be happy to just be together. I met up with this great family at TWU a few weeks ago and had a blast chasing after the two kids! These kids just love love love each other so much, you don't really see kids their age huggin' and lovin' on each other. When we have our second one, I hope that the kids get along that well. I am just loving this first shot, I think it should be the one that mom frames... what about you? :)

Gainesville Newborn Photographer

I was so excited when I talked with this mommy to photograph her twins, she carried full term and they were expecting a really great and "normal" outcome with the labor. So I was really upset when we had to cancel the shoot due to something unexpected... so a few weeks later she called me back and said that we were able to do the shoot, I did a little dance while on the phone with her! hahah The girls are about 4 weeks here, but once they were asleep they let us mold them and fold them almost like a one week old. We also got the grandparents with all the grand kids. It always amazing me how quickly new moms pick the baby thing up, I couldn't imagine doing it x's 2... Amanda was so amazing and patient and calm while getting the girls ready for the shoot. I was just in awe. She is an amazing mom!

I am so glad you guys love them!!! Thanks for a great afternoon!

Alex and Greg are getting married this September and I am so excited to be apart of it!
These guys have been dating for 9 years... if I remember correctly! This was yet another shoot that had to be rescheduled several times because of rain... it was super nasty the day we headed out to the stock yards, I think it had rained that morning... luckily we got a break and decided to go forth and conquer!

G is another great senior from Gainesville High School... I got to hang out with her a few weeks ago... we had to keep rescheduling her session due to rain and rain, and cold and then more rain. I actually think we got lucky that it didn't rain during her shoot, the wind kicked up and it got really cold with the 5 minutes of me waiting for her... man was I nervous. I might have even snuck in a rain dance... it worked because it did not rain! :P
Anyways, we walked around Denton and Fry Street and had a blast finding the neat graffiti and historic buildings. Thanks for spending the afternoon with me!!

DFW Senior photographer {Gabriela is graduating!}

This beautiful young lady is graduating this month. She is so smart and dedicated that she is actually a part of the TAMS program at UNT. She has been living on campus while taking college level courses. How amazing is that? Her mom called me to get some shots of her to celebrate her senior year. I think miss G was a little nervous when we started out, but once she calmed down we got such great results. I hope you love them!

These two love birds got married a couple of weeks ago. they are total out doors people and everything about their wedding was a reminder of that. They were married in a lodge in Paluxy complete with wooden rocking chairs, deer skins and animals on the walls. They even had camo beer coozies... It did rain ALOT on this day, but fortunately Stephanie did not let it bother her, she was fine with it all. She just wanted to walk down the aisle to her hubby to be... her face as she was walking towards him was priceless. I also love that they were able to make fun of the Swine Flu...

Sweet baby Hailey is just 6 days old here... She was so sweet; especially when she was done eating! hahaha I just love how she curled up for us. When mom booked this appointment she said "don't expect a small baby" so I was all excited to see a big. chubby. fat. cherub of a baby... she was only 8 lbs! I know most moms would say that IS big... but you see, Michelle's first girl was 10 lbs! I was shocked when I got there, but I am so happy with how they turned out. Big sister Shelby wanted nothing to do with Hailey in front of the camera... she would only kiss and hug her when my camera was down, but she was all about taking some photos alone so I included one of her!

As most of you know I love Glam R Baby bows and clothing. Noelle is a great doing a really great thing for a family in need. Please help this family out. Bentley is going to have open heart surgery and may need more in the future. Bentley's mom worked closely with Noelle to create three really great bow and 50%, YES HALF, of the all proceeds from these three bows will go to Bentley's family to help with medical expenses since their insurance will not cover it. Meet Trenton! He is Avery's big cousin. We had such a great shoot on the square... it was a nice turn around from the year before... Trenton actually seemed like he was having fun! hahaha
I just love love love all these shots and I love my new texture on them don't you?
So many people are branching away from the normal white or black shirts with jeans, I think this is a nice way to do it. The purple was so bright and colorful, but it doesn't over power the people. Don't be afraid of color!

This is part two of Avery's session! We didn't want to overload her with wardrobe changes, with the broken collarbone, soooo we spilt the sessions up. Avery is such a spitfire. I think my Ian would just love her to pieces!
Avery thought it was the funniest thing to run away from us! ( and it was, just don't tell her mom :) haha

I just love this first one, it looks like she is so much older than 6 here. C is such a smart and funny 6 year old. I have photographed her twice now, and each time I have to remind myself that she is only 6! haha She seems so much older, and talks like an adult. This shoot was so nice and refreshing. Her mom was so relaxed, even with the CARAAHZY WIND, and let us walk around the square on our own. There are only a few here, but every shot was great!

Avery's mom and I have been planning this shoot for probably 6 months?! I went and got this chair, covered the chair.. not so well by the way, and her mom went and bought her boots, clothes, clothes and more clothes. Also let's not talk about the crazy weather we had a few weeks ago with the rain, wind, freeze more rain a little bit of sun and then more rain. So the week of this shoot miss Avery decides to break her Collarbone. AHHHHH!!! Luckily she is okay and all is back to normal but it did push this shoot back yet again.
Finally a few weeks ago we were able to do it and I am in love with all the shots we got. Fortunately for you, internet, I can't post that many images :)

Finally! I got to photograph Bell's entire family! haha I think this was the prettiest day, and then once we got to our location the wind picked up and never stopped. It was crazy, kicking dirt and hair everywhere! We were still able to get some really great shots.
I just love the images of the four grand daughters together, sooo sweet! They love that baby.

This sweet little girl made me work hard for the sweet shots we got! She was not having anything to do with her photo session and cried the whole time while fighting some sleep. Mom and Dad were soooo patient and really just hung in there and allowed me to shoot on Ashleigh's time. We got some really really great shots and I am so in love with everything we got. She is a beautiful little girl and I really enjoyed the time I spent with you guys!! Wouldn't you know it, she ended the session with some B.I.G. smiles! It was such a great ending to this session!

I got to photograph the beautiful Peyton a couple of weeks ago out at the Botanical Gardens. She will be graduating with her sister this year... The day we were shooting I think the entire city of Ft. Worth decided to go to the gardens, but we managed to get some really great shots... personally I love the one of her in the tall grass with that bright yellow and all of them really :P

Last Sunday I got to hang out with A and J while we went to the Botanical Gardens and the Stockyards. The shoot was super breezy and laid back which I loved! I have known A since middle school I think, and I am so happy that she is getting married to such a great guy. He made sure she was comfortable the entire time... he actually understood how much the photos meant to her... rare I know!!! :P

I had such a blast traveling around downtown Dallas last weekend. Jacob was so much fun and was up for anything! He is actually from Kansas and wanted a different feel to his photos than the rest of the graduates, and I am so glad he chose Deep Ellum! Don't you love the shot of the skyline in the background? Emma and Clayton : Married

Emma called me literally the week of their wedding to see if I was available due to some scheduling issues with their original photographer... Luckily I had blocked off some time for my birthday that weekend and I was able to take the wedding!
The Ceremony was held at the Heritage Park in Carollton... It was a pretty location and the church was so cute and old I loved it! Everyone was packed in so tight it made for great atmosphere. The bride seemed to be a tiny bit stressed at times but as soon as she was with Clayton that stress melted away and she was able to enjoy the moment and her big day!
Congratulations to the both of you and have fun on your honeymoon!
I loved the touch of the champagne ribbon for the bridesmaids...

Baby Jack

Meet baby Jack.
He was born super early and weighed a little over 4 pounds, here we are at 7 pounds for his newborn shoot. Usually babies at 5 weeks do not let you squish them or roll them into a ball but he didn't seem to mind at all. We got some really sweet shots of this precious boy and his family. He started of sleeping and then decided he wanted to be awake, but he was soooo sweet and laid back.! The shot of him in the scale is so special because his mom, and all of his aunts and uncles and I think his grandparents were weighed in that scale. Thanks for a great day I hope you love them!

I have been thinking a lot about the economic situation and trying to figure out a way to help making my pricing a bit more affordable for everyone. I think in these days everyone needs to be flexible... we are all hurting and these days everyone is looking for the best deal possible... more bang for your buck if you will.
I have decided to drop all of my print sized 8x10 or smaller and offer all of my images on disc with printing release.
My enlargements will still be available for purchase at a discounted rate, these will be considered an add on only. You will get 15% off of the current price when adding any size 10x10 or up when added to the CD. You can also get your colorizations added to the disc as well as composites at an additional cost.

So here are the details!

The CD and Session fee are included all in one price.
You get 40 to 60 images on the disc in color, artistically edited and ready to go.
You also get a printing release to make as many copies as you wish, whenever you wish.

So what's the price you ask?
For weekday Sessions it is $275.00
For Weekend Sessions it is $300.00
*if you have already had a session then the old pricing stands, but any future appointment iwll have this new pricing.

This is huge because normally my CD's sell for $450.00!!! I hope everyone is as excited about this as I am!

I was so excited when their mom called me a couple of weeks ago to book a session.
The last time I saw Christian he was four months! Now he is 2!! He is so tall, and smart and knows what he wants to do and what he is NOT going to do! hahaha
I had so much fun with these two boys, Austin as a cutie and looks just like his daddy. At first he was just trying to figure out what the thing in my hands was, but he warmed up to me pretty quickly. Let me tell you Austin LOVES his momma! He would just smile and talk and giggle at her, I thought it was sweet. It definitely reminded me of Ian, and why I want another boy!
This is such a great family, and I can't wait to see them again soon!

I always think of this song when I photograph big families. hahha
I got to meet up with some of my favorite kids last Sunday and I didn't believe my eyes when I saw Brett and Landon! The are so big!
This was probably one of my smoothest big family shoots, no one fought and everyone was up for doing what ever. I am sure it was because they wanted to watch the Super Bowl! :P
First up is the Birthday Girl Andee! She is turning 5 and having a "going Green" themed party, how cool is that?

I have been blogging out of order lately. I photographed this couple at the beginning of the year, they were actually my first session for 2009!! Let me just say that the day of our session had beautiful light, but it was freeeeezing!!! I seriously think it was like 80 below! hahaha
It was so cold, but luckily they were willing to sit and be patient with the wind. I am really happy with how they came out, and luckily you can't tell that we were all freezing our butts off!

I got to photograph her on Sunday for her 15th birthday. YES SHE IS ONLY 15!!!
Honestly, I couldn't believe it myself, especially with some of the images I took she is just so beautiful! I just couldn't stop taking photos! This first one reminds me of a GAP ad or something. I had so much fun with this session... it was a nice break from chasing a two year old around! I am so glad this made Ashley's birthday as special and fun as she is!!!

This was my first couple that decided to do a first reveal and let me tell you I am so happy they did! To all of my brides for 2009, this is the way to do it. The moment they shared was absolutely amazing! They were so excited to be standing next to each other and their reactions are priceless... When Rini turned and saw Mary it literally took his breath away. This is the moment I, as a photographer, miss when the first look is when the bride is walking down the aisle. It was so great to be able to capture this, with out all of their guests watching them.
I don't think enough couples choose to do this! It is so less stressful!!!

I just wanted to take a moment to say Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to everyone!
We had a great time celebrating with our family and get to celebrate some more on Saturday. It was so nice to see Ian get into the whole opening presents thing this year. He loves Santa so much!! It is so cute!! He is so lucky to have so many people that love him.
He makes every day amazing for me and my husband, and I honestly can not remember my life with out him. He is the best gift I have ever gotten! :)

I would also like to say THANK YOU a million times over to all of my wonderful families I have photograph this year. I know that budgets have been tight with the failing economy, but it was so great to see everyone again, it is so amazing to be able to watch the kids grow and to even become a big brother or sister! I also connected with so many new families and can't wait to work with them again. Because of all the referrals and repeat sessions I was able to more than double my number of sessions for the entire year! I also doubled my goal on weddings!!
YOU GUYS ARE AMAZING! Thank you for all of the kind words and trusting me to capture your memories. The Christmas season went so smoothly it was scary!! I had no stressed out phone calls for missing orders and everyone got everything they needed!! Amen!!

I was so honored to be apart of their wedding 11.29.08! Trevor and I went to high school together and have stayed in touch on and off since then. I was so excited when I found out he was engaged... he is such a great person and so laid back. Angela is such a nice person and is just as laid back. This was not a traditional wedding, it was held at the Starlight room in Dallas. They used jewel tones for the decor. I knew I wanted to showcase their colors, and their personalities, and honestly your standard cheesy posing for the camera is just not them. I think my very favorites are of the ones where you can't see there faces, just their shadows. I know that the last image isn't necessarily something that everyone would love, I can hear it now "they aren't in focus, I can't see their faces" but I love it... I hope you both love them! I can't wait to start on your book, it is going to be so awesome! Thanks again for including me in on your big day!

these four children are some of the BEST siblings out there! A shoot with four kids is always a challenge, especially when their ages range from 11 to 2... but these guys behaved so well and they actually got along with each other! I love their clothing, especially the little touches of leopard, and it isnt too much red. They decided to do some photos with their big dog Bo... he is getting up there in age so they wanted to include him in on the fun. Thanks for a great day and I hope you love them!

I photographed these two lovebirds a couple of weeks ago out in Deep Ellum.
Logan is a friend of my husbands, and I was so excited that he called me to see if I could fit them in for Holiday portraits. It always means so much when your friends trust you enough to photograph them... you know the whole camera shyness thing.

I loved how they came out! We had amazing lighting and they were up for walking all over town! Little Sophie was so worn out from walking so much... she finally just gave up and layed down with her little head on the ground, it was too sweet!

I met up with this family last Sunday and we drove out to Natalie's brothers house on the Lake.

here is another great shoot! I got to run around with Reagan and her big brothers and little sister on Sunday. I photographed the baby, Rhyan as a newborn and I was so excited when her mommy booked a family session!
We had so much fun, and the boys were really easy to photograph and didn't give me any problems when it was their turn for individuals. Which is unusual!

I met up with this family Saturday afternoon and they were willing to keep their shoot outdoors even though it felt like it was 40 below zero! (slight exaggeration) We met in downtown Whitesboro and stopped a few places, including this old abandoned church that is AMAZING
and a little shop on the square that had several Christmas trees up and allowed us to put the kids in their pajamas and play and somewhat destroy their beautiful designs!

I got to photograph these guys this afternoon. We headed down to TWU and then to her moms house to use their swing that is really really old. hahah I know they told me how many years, but my brain is fried from editing all the holiday orders. :P

Again, I had way too many favorites from this shoot. I mean look at them, they are a gorgeous couple! They are also so in love which is neat, it creates great romantic images!!

They got married last weekend in NRH and their reception was at Austin Ranch in Grapevine. This is one of the sweetest couples ever! They were so excited to be starting their new life together. During the ceremony you could feel all of the love in the room... there were tears everywhere! I have a lot of favorites but couldn't post them all.
The bride and bridesmaids did a "special" dance for the groom. It was HILARIOUS. They brought all the great old dance songs like Thriller, Baby got Back (the photo on here) Bye Bye Bye, and some others that I can't think of right now. Thanks for letting me be apart of this great journey!

I can't believe how different this little girl looks! It wasn't too long ago we did her 1 year shoot and she looks like such a big girl now! This time we met at the Canals and after a little convincing Kiersten was okay with taking some photos! I am in love with this first photo, it was a quick snap but I am so glad I got it! Enjoy!!
