Gage and Joely

I hope everyone had a great holiday!!! I am still trying to catch this blog up from the holiday rush!

Meet Gage and Joely, aren't they sweet? Gage wasn't really too sure about me at first, or sharing the spot light with his cousin but after a while I think he was okay with it. I just love this first image of her touching his leg... I had such a blast with these two families, they are so sweet and so loving. I can't wait for our next session once it warms up!!!
Thanks again!

Marry Christmas!!

I just wanted to take a moment to say Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to everyone!
We had a great time celebrating with our family and get to celebrate some more on Saturday. It was so nice to see Ian get into the whole opening presents thing this year. He loves Santa so much!! It is so cute!! He is so lucky to have so many people that love him.
He makes every day amazing for me and my husband, and I honestly can not remember my life with out him. He is the best gift I have ever gotten! :)

I would also like to say THANK YOU a million times over to all of my wonderful families I have photograph this year. I know that budgets have been tight with the failing economy, but it was so great to see everyone again, it is so amazing to be able to watch the kids grow and to even become a big brother or sister! I also connected with so many new families and can't wait to work with them again. Because of all the referrals and repeat sessions I was able to more than double my number of sessions for the entire year! I also doubled my goal on weddings!!
YOU GUYS ARE AMAZING! Thank you for all of the kind words and trusting me to capture your memories. The Christmas season went so smoothly it was scary!! I had no stressed out phone calls for missing orders and everyone got everything they needed!! Amen!!
I can't wait for all of the great new things for 2009, a new website, products and new incentives for referrals and repeat sessions! Have a happy and safe holiday and a blessed 2009!!!

Annual holiday special!

Take advantage of this awesome reorder special!! All galleries will be coming off as of 12.31.08. A new website will be revealed shortly after with a whole new ordering system!!!
just click the image below and it will take you to my site!

Trevor and Angela get married! There are alot!

I was so honored to be apart of their wedding 11.29.08! Trevor and I went to high school together and have stayed in touch on and off since then. I was so excited when I found out he was engaged... he is such a great person and so laid back. Angela is such a nice person and is just as laid back. This was not a traditional wedding, it was held at the Starlight room in Dallas. They used jewel tones for the decor. I knew I wanted to showcase their colors, and their personalities, and honestly your standard cheesy posing for the camera is just not them. I think my very favorites are of the ones where you can't see there faces, just their shadows. I know that the last image isn't necessarily something that everyone would love, I can hear it now "they aren't in focus, I can't see their faces" but I love it... I hope you both love them! I can't wait to start on your book, it is going to be so awesome! Thanks again for including me in on your big day!

A mom and her son

I was so excited when Cristy mentioned she wanted to get some shots of her and her son... Colton was not so much excited! hahah I tried to make the session short and sweet and I know we got some really great images. I am so behind on blogging, that she has already gotten her order but I still wanted to share! I love the shot of them walking away and I hope to get this of my and my child one day. I am so glad you love them!

Mamasource... write me a review

if you have heard of www.mamasource.com then you know what an amazing website it is!
I think this website is great for any woman, whether you are expecting, have young kids, have old kids or are a grandparent. You can look up reviews from moms from all over the place for certain businesses, clothing lines, best baby gear, best babysitters or daycares, how to handle a divorce... Basically you name it you can find it on here...
That being said, I NEED REVIEWS for my business on there. It is such an amazing tool for moms, and the more reviews I have the better!
So, for all of my blog readers, there is a great incentive for you to write me a review!
I will give you a $20.00 print credit to use towards your next session, in 2009, if you write a honest, positive review for Your Candid Memories. I would really appreciate it and I know that without all of you I wouldn't be where I am today!

I look forward to seeing you in 2009, I will have some great new products and really awesome incentives for returning clients and referrals! I also have tons of sessions to show off so check back often!

a brother and a sister

Yes I am still here! I have been busy trying to get all of my Holiday orders out to everyone! Unfortunately that means the blog gets abandoned... but now that I can see the light at the end of the tunnel I will be able to share all of the great sessions with you!!!
First up...
I got to photograph this lovely brother sister duo a few weeks ago at the Stockyards and then at the botanical gardens, where we photograph Jeremy and his fiance.
These are some of the nicest people ever! So easy going and come on... how often is it that you get a man to smile and show his teeth?!
I know your mom will love these!!

four kids and a dog

these four children are some of the BEST siblings out there! A shoot with four kids is always a challenge, especially when their ages range from 11 to 2... but these guys behaved so well and they actually got along with each other! I love their clothing, especially the little touches of leopard, and it isnt too much red. They decided to do some photos with their big dog Bo... he is getting up there in age so they wanted to include him in on the fun. Thanks for a great day and I hope you love them!

Christine and Logan

I photographed these two lovebirds a couple of weeks ago out in Deep Ellum.
Logan is a friend of my husbands, and I was so excited that he called me to see if I could fit them in for Holiday portraits. It always means so much when your friends trust you enough to photograph them... you know the whole camera shyness thing.

I loved how they came out! We had amazing lighting and they were up for walking all over town! Little Sophie was so worn out from walking so much... she finally just gave up and layed down with her little head on the ground, it was too sweet!
I hope yall love them!

Christmas Orders

Just an FYI if you have not placed your order by Dec 2nd I can not guarantee that it will be here in time for you to hand out for gifts. Be sure to get your orders in so I can make sure they look perfect and you don't have to stress about getting things framed and mailed or wrapped!

and because I can't post with out a photo here is one of my little man playing on his bike his grandpa got him last year for Christmas... he loves this thing! It has a piece of wood that goes across the back and Ian puts his match box cars on so they can ride around with him.. so sweet!
I am looking forward to taking Thursday and Friday off to be with family and I hope that everyone has a fabulous holiday! I have more posts coming after Thursday!
